We first met Sherri Lawrence in the fall of 2008 when we attended group dog training classes for our adolescent Labradoodle, Tucker. We’d previously been the proud owners of a Wheaten Terrier, which we’d had for 13 years. Our Labradoodle was a new challenge as we got him at 6 months of age and found that he had not been well-socialized.
I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Sherri Lawrence of Out Of The Doghouse. My dog Cooper and I first met Sherri at our puppy obedience class at Dealing with Dogs. Cooper is a Border Collie mix and quickly showed his intelligence at class. The course and instruction was great. I would highly recommend them to any new dog owner. Learning newer, more positive methods of training- Sherri knows a cure for every behaviour in a dog - amazing! The trainer, Sherri was the best part of the course, We’ve taken other classes but sherri’s interactions with the dogs was much more effective. She really individualizes instruction. For the first time in a dog training class I felt that all the basics were covered that I needed to help me |
We contacted Sherri when we first got our Goldendoodle puppy, Ellie, in December 2008. From the moment Sherri promptly returned our call, we knew she was someone we could trust and who would do whatever she could to help us. She was extremely open, flexible and honest from the start, and as new puppy owners this meant a lot to us!
We just wanted to say thank-you for everything you have done for us and our dog. Your love and passion for working with dogs is evident when we see how excited he gets every time he sees you or comes to one of your classes.
Sherri was recommended to us by the Oakville Humane Society. Her in depth knowledge of animal behaviour and... Sherri was able to watch us and offer suggestions on the spot and is always available to answer questions and really cares about the dogs. Found the greatest benefit of leash walking lessons was the practical experiences of walking in the real world – traffic, crossing a busy road, Tim Horton’s, pedestrians, bikes etc… while having assistance and support from Sherri. |
